Just for Women – Go WOW Team offers race training and ongoing fitness opportunities to walkers and runners. Led by Coach Stephanie Atwood, with more than 30 years of professional experience and certifications from US Track and Field, Road Runners Club of America, National Academy of Sports Medicine, and more, you are in for an opportunity to train with the best, make new friends, learn about nutrition, and explore just how high you want to reach with your goals!


In addition to certain starting dates for race training, Go WOW Team offers neighborhood fun runs, walks, and workout options on a year-round basis. You may join at any time.

Wherever you live in the Bay Area, there’s a good chance that WOW offers a workout nearby. When you are a member you can join any workout, any time! Go WOW Team is a year-round club that trains women and encourages you to maintain your training and be active with your WOW team for the rest of your life. We want you to make fitness an ongoing part of your lifestyle.

Our training programs offer novice and experienced women a chance to improve from where you are right now. Novices will take 6 months to move through training and participating in a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon (if they wish). More experienced runners, who already have a base, have the opportunity to complete a longer race or try for a faster time at a distance they already know.

WOW’s 24 week training program takes you from Couch to Accomplished. Train for a 5K or relay race in March, at the Oakland Run Fest, try a 10K next, and continue on to race at the See Jane Run Half Marathon! Run or run/walk to train. This program starts in January only. 

If money is an issue or you can only join us on the weekend, Go WOW offers a weekend only program. Once you’ve paid the initial entry fee you will be billed a weekend only fee for all Saturday and/or Sunday workouts.
