Just for Women – Go WOW Team offers training to walkers and runners led by Coach Stephanie Atwood, with more than 30 years of professional experience and certifications from US Track and Field, Road Runners Club of America, National Academy of Sports Medicine, and more.

Additionally Go WOW offers neighborhood fun runs, walks, track workouts, clinics, and other workout options on a year-round basis. We keep moving every week of the year, race or no race!

Wherever you live in the Bay Area, there’s a good chance that Go WOW Team offers a workout nearby. WOW currently serves the greater East Bay from Oakland to Concord to Hayward to Richmond, and additionally San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. When you are a member you can join any workout, any time!

Our training program offers coached workouts on Wednesday evening and Sunday morning with additional fun workouts several other days of the week in various locations throughout the Bay Area including Hayward, SF, Walnut Creek, and Piedmont.

Go WOW Team is a year-round club that trains women, just like you, and encourages you to keep your fitness going with our team for the rest of your life. We want you to make fitness an ongoing part of your lifestyle.

Our training programs offer women, who already have a base, the opportunity to complete a race better and faster for their next one. or women who have never completed a race to train with confidence, support, and the guidance of an experienced coach.

Training Starts Any Time: We encourage you to come out and try us whenever the time is right for you!

Go WOW Team offers 6 weeks for 5K Training and 12 weeks for half marathon training. Additionally we train and work out year-round so, if you are in-between one of our racing goals, you can start working on your base.

WOW Women train for the Oakland Half Marathon, the See Jane Run Half Marathon, the NIKE Women’s Half Marathon, and numerous shorter races including 5K’s throughout the year. We also just run and workout for the heck of it!

January Only: WOW’s 22 week training program takes you from Couch to Accomplished. Train for a 5K or relay race in March, at the Oakland Run Fest, and then continue on to race at See Jane Run Half Marathon in just 22 weeks! Run or run/walk to train. This program is available in January only. 

Didn’t join in January? We have orientations throughout the year to get you started AND, you are WELCOME to join us at any time. We are an ongoing, year-round fitness program geared to women’s health and well being through running, walking, good nutrition, friendship, and fun!

The WOW Team also offers a Special WALKERS Training Program. Walk for all your training yet race with everyone else with the same, great preparation.

Go  WOW Team also offers a weekend only program. Once you’ve paid the initial entry fee you will be billed a weekend only fee for all Saturday and/or Sunday workouts. Here is the link
