The WOW Team chooses certain races to train for each year as a group. Because our club is ongoing you do NOT have to start and stop training but we do have certain starting dates if you want to jump in at the beginning of the next goal. All programs are based on 12 weeks of training (except training for a marathon – please talk over these details with Coach Stephanie).
WOW also hosts special clinics and events during the year. These are listed below and on our meetup site at Meetup/GoWOWTeam in reverse chronological order.
March 17/18, 2012 – Sat Kick-off, Sunday start training for See Jane Run Half Marathon and 5K. Saturday clinic, Sunday workout.
March 7 – April 11, 2012 – 6 Week Track Clinic in San Francisco
February 18th, 2012 – Speed Walking, Run Walking Clinic for your first 5K at the Oakland Run Fest or See Jane Run. Details on Meetup
February 12, 2012 – Shoe Clinic and Intro to Speed Walking at See Jane Run – Meet Coach Stephanie and get fitted for the right shoes at See Jane Run in Oakland. Free. RSVP on Meetup
February 3, 2012 – A Runner’s Feast, first of 4 seasonal dinners, just for runners!
January 7, 2012 – Pre-Season Clinic for all women who want a head start on their training.
January 8, 2012 - Start Training for the Oakland Run Fest Half Marathon, Relay, and 5K
